  1.                 How to register QFAX V1.05
  2.  
  3.     QuickStar Fax Pro V1.05 is a shareware software. You may try it for
  4. 30 days in order to evaluate its usefulness to you. If you continue to use
  5. QFAX after the 30 days trial period, please register your copy of QFAX with
  6. the author. Please read the limited warranty statement at the end of this
  7. file and make sure you can agree with the terms.   If you do not agree to
  8. my limited warranty terms, do not use QFAX. By simply using QFAX you have
  9. expressed that you agree to the warranty terms and you will use QFAX at
  10. your own risk.

  12.     The registration is very easy and the registration fee is only $20.
  13. Once registered you will be able to enjoy additional features that can not
  14. be accessed in un-registered copies. You will get updated information of
  15. the latest version of this software. You will also get the next update of
  16. this of this software free. You will get technical help directly from the
  17. author if you run into any problems in using QFAX. Plus you will have peace
  18. of mind in using a paid and registered version of this software.

  20.     I will be able to help you to solve specific problems related to the
  21. usage of QFAX in your computer should it occur, within 3 monthes after you
  22. register the software with me. If there is a problem occured within this
  23. 3 month period that I am unable to help you to solve, your registration fee
  24. will be promptly refunded. I will always be willing to answer any questions
  25. related to the usage of QFAX, but priority will be given to users who have
  26. registered my program.

  28.     Please check informations provided near the end of this file to find
  29. out how to reach me for help and for registration.

  31.     If you are running an un-registered version of QFAX, it will remind you
  32. for registration at the start of the program. It will also tell you the
  33. software serial number. Please write down that number. You will need to
  34. provide that number in order to register QFAX with me.

  36.     If at the DOS promt of your PC computer, you type "qfax" with no file
  37. name or any thing follows it, it will display a short help message. But for
  38. more detailed information about the usage of QFAX, please read the file
  39. USAGE.TXT and follow the instructions.

  41.     To register QFAX with me, you need to do the following:
  42.        1. Write down the software serial number that QFAX tells you.
  43.        2. Write down your name, address, E-Mail address, phone number
  44.        3. Briefly state that you wish to register QFAX.
  45.        4. Write a check or money order of $20 (twenty US dollars), payable
  46.           to Mr. Anthony Mai. If you live in Pennsylvania please add 6%
  47.           sales tax. The total will be $21.20.

  57.     You may also use the enclosed registration form in the file REGISTER.FRM
  58. to make the registration easier. Just print it out and fill it out and mail
  59. it together with the $20 registration fee.

  61.     CompuServe members can register QFAX directly on CompuServe using the
  62. SWREG service of CompuServe. Just type "go swreg" to start. The SWREG
  63. Registration ID number assigned to QFAX is 8913. Or you can search using
  64. author name "Anthony Mai". If you see SWREG shows a different QFAX Version
  65. number other than the version you are registering, it is OK. As registered
  66. user you can always request license number for the newest version of QFAX.
  67. If you register through the CompuServe SWREG service, you still need to
  68. send me an E-Mail to provide me with your QFAX serial number.

  70.     None USA users can use international traveler's cheques to pay for the
  71. registration fee. Or you may send cash in the envelop directly. Warning:
  72. mailing cash in regular envelops may not be allowed in some countries. And
  73. it is risky, though quite a number of QFAX users have registered by mailing
  74. cash in envelopes. If you send international traveler's cheques, make sure
  75. that you sign your name on both spaces provided for signatures on the cheque.
  76. And please make the cheque payable to Mr. Anthony Mai.

  78.     Upon receiving your registration letter and the registration fee, I will
  79. provide you with a valid license number with which you can enter when QFAX
  80. asks for that number next time you run it. You only need to enter it once
  81. and it will become a registered version right away. I will use either the
  82. Internet E-Mail, CompuServe E-Mail, phone call or post mail to inform you
  83. of your license number. It is up to me to choose the appropriate method to
  84. send this license number to you.

  86. Limited Warrantty:

  88.     The author of QFAX warrants that QFAX will work on your computer within
  89. three month after you register QFAX. If it doesn't work due to a problem
  90. that the author is unable to help, your registration fee will be refunded
  91. less $5 postage and handling fee, if it is within 3 monthes of your
  92. registration. The author expressly disclaims any warranty other than the
  93. above. And the author will not be held liable for any damage or loss due
  94. to the usage of QFAX. The QFAX is provided "as is" and should be used on
  95. the user's own risk. Under any circumstance the only compensation the user
  96. may get from the author is the pre-paid registration fee less a $5 postage
  97. and handling fee.
